PSLoss — Prestressing Losses in Post-Tensioned Tendons
- Elongation
- Friction Losses
- Anchor Set Losses
- Equivalent Loads
PSLoss calculates elongation and immediate friction and anchor set prestressing losses in post-tensioning tendons. Tendons may follow a three-dimensional profile and can be jacked from one or both ends. PSLoss enables generation of tendon profiles containing multiple curves and tangents, and computes the vertical and horizontal loads equivalent to the effects of post-tensioning. These forces can be applied to the beam to determine both primary and secondary post-tensioning moments. The program has been successfully used on a wide range of bridge projects and proven reliable for checking post-tensioning shop drawings.
Key Features
- Stressing from one or both ends
- Supports three-dimensional tendon profiles
- Computes equivalent post-tensioning loads on beams
